Nora and Lee are a great couple who we had the pleasure to photograph in May. She has Swiss origins while he is English, two souls of opposite but complementary temperaments. Their wedding took place in the beautiful Villa di Ulignano near Volterra, an elegant and functional location appreciated by many foreign couples who decide to get married in Tuscany. Some of their friends reached the villa by car, creating a sort of caravan that crossed the English Channel and clocking up miles arrived at our hills. Nora’s father appeared as a surprise just when the bride came down the stairs to reach Lee and their meeting was truly a moment of incredible emotion, a split of a second difficult to capture. But it was certainly not the only one! The wedding was a successful mix of moments of hilarity and deep feelings that we will remember for a while.
Let me say a few words about the villa: perched atop the hill of Ulignano for which it is named, Villa di Ulignano is a splendid 17th century villa surrounded by a magnificent garden with centuries-old trees. The manor home is part of a 17-acre property that is situated between Volterra, the closest town, and San Gimignano. One of the most important and prestigious villas in the territory of Volterra, Ulignano boasts an amazing location with enchanting panoramic views. It is the perfect base for any Tuscan wedding: immersed in peace and tranquillity, and at the same time centrally located, at the heart of the triangle formed by Siena, Florence and Pisa.
