The one of Alessia and Davide was our first wedding in Castel Gandolfo, lovely location on the Roman Hills. We met Alessia and Davide (and their two beautiful cats) in Florence, where they both live. Castel Gandolfo is well known for being the summer residence of the popes, a picturesque village on the volcanic Lake Albano, famous for having hosted the The World Rowing Championship. The Colleggiata Pontificia di San Tommaso owes its project to Gian Lorenzo Bernini and is a jewel of Baroque art: here, on a hot day of July, Alessia and Davide promised eternal love, surrounded by the happiness of family and friends. Then, like in a Fellini movie, they reached Villa del Cardinale on a white vintage jaguar, poetic and romantic place, where every stone and shadow jealously preserves distant memories of consuls, roman commanders, renaissance men and popes. An elegant reception has been the perfect end to this beautiful day.
